This happy little procedure (and don't we all just love dentists) is all up going to be close to $1k. and her company medical hasn't kicked in yet.

So anyone that knows quirks to the system to get this sort of thing cheaper, or any good suggestions.
well, one thing my ex did once is request not to get anaesthetics to save money. I believe she was having a post implanted to replace a tooth that had been broken, and it might have involved a root canal. not pretty, but survivable. I think she wound up passing out somewhere in the middle of it.

crazy, yes. but it can save money.

        heres the low down.

lizzie had a root canal done on her second molar awhile ago. what i didnt know is that the tooth moved driving a spike into the first molar tooth under the gum breaking the tooth. ive been getting bad migraines the last few months not knowing why. until wednesday when i realized the ache was a tooth pain. i immediately found a dentist in the phonebook and went in a few hours later. he took an exray and realized that this spike keeps hitting the nerve in my first molar periodically. so now he has to extract the tooth with the spike and do a root canal on the first molar to correct the pain im in.

as of now the doc has me on 1000 mgs of vicodin and 800mgs of ibprophen (sp) at a time. this is helping the pain.

im just ****ed and needed suggestions cause when i asked my brother to help me he told me to talk to the tooth and tell it to stop hurting. i told him that was ridiculous and hung up on him.

        worst pain ever.

So how about a MURC help fund? I couldn't give much, but I would contribute (in addition to the annual fund raiser). I don't know how good an idea paypal is, though - I don't have an account, and I have no credit card (many people in germany don't). If it is free to set one up, tell me and I'll do so.

              AZ

P.S.: Horrible, horrible health systems! And germany is just tearing down its excellent health system, too, all the while making it more expensive.

In this case we could raise a fund and Liz will return it later to the murc. This way it's a loan

The cheapest, but not the smartest, way to fix the problem would be with two extractions. The problem you are left with is a weakening of the jaw over time and exposure of the nerves.

I feel for you. For this year my insurance decided it had paid enough and I ahd to pay ~800 for a crown.

A lot of medical clinics will give discounts if you explain that you have no insurance. I've had to take my kid to the Doc a couple of times when I was between jobs, and they were always willing to help (some). Check through your local health department, they can usually get you the help you need.

I'd be happy to help out, but I can only send canadian money and only money orders, my credit cards are maxed. D'oh.

If the situation really gets that desperate, I think I can pull quite a bit for the situation. $1075 is roughly £600, something my account can still handle without too much problems.

Topic close to my heart. Having an enamal deficieny I have to spend huge amounts of money looking after my teeth.

I could spare £100, save JING having to make such a large withdrawl, if only a little bit, might give you a tiny bit more leeway (sp).

I'd only spend it on games or more computer hardware.
