    • Not at all, it is not ex-USSR, not in a Warsaw pact country, not in Albania, not in China, Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, nor even in Cuba. In fact, the reference to colour is because of the local constructional materials, which should really give it away.

      • Sorry if I started a trend.. I just thought that looked like Moscow's Red Square there.

        • Time for a clue. Think foie gras, black truffles, goose legs and breasts preserved in goose fat, beans.

                • 'Tis indeed French, but neither Lyon nor London (suburb of Paris, perhaps???)

                  • Based on the black truffle thing it should be somewhere in the Provence...Avignon?

                          • Bien sûr, c'est Toulouse, la ville rose (from the colour of the bricks used for all the old buildings in the centre).

                            • OK, here's mine then (see the attached image).

I want to know the name of the house that this road leads to. The fact it's v. well known is a big enough hint for now

                              • OK, it looks like the UK (drive on the left and the word Slow painted on the road) with what looks like a memorial at the end of the road. Don't think I've been there, so I'll make a wild guess without Googling. Blenheim Palace???
