I was just watching that last night. Some day I'll buy the SuperBit edition
If Erik doesn't mind a bit of Japanese madness, gore, and some short jubbly shots, there's always Akira... the movie that brought to pass the rule of anime:
Neo Tokyo is the most volitile substance in the anime universe. 1 g of Neo Tokyo is more volitile than a warhead.

Ghost in the Shell is good, but as a first real experience I'd suggest Mononoke no hime (princess mononoke) as a good non sci-fi oneJuu nin to iro
English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

He's seen The Invisible Man, as noted in the original post.
He's now seen;
Twilight Zone (the movie and TV series)
The Outer Limits (both TV series)
Logans Run
The Rocketeer
Commando Cody: Sky Marshal of the Universe (insp. for Rocketeer)
Radar Men from the Moon (also Commando Cody)
Dead Zone (TV series)
Fantastic Voyage (don't you just love Raquel Welch in tight tops? )
Superman: the movie
Superman (TV series)
Smallville (TV series of Supermans youth)
He liked them all; especially Commando Cody, who was my favorite when I was in single digits, and Superman. Methinks I've created a monster
I first saw Commando Cody on a round screen B&W TV when I was in 1st grade. Man...does that ever date me!!
