I flashed on "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" at that point and half expected Anakin to yell "Come back and fight like a man!"

You know, cause there's still good in Anakin.
We got the jist of this but didn't hear the exact words. Thanks to schmosef for the exact quote:

I still believe that she was indeed referring to her husband Anakin.

i asked that very question to someone who has read all the books and this was his answer:

Bail Organa ordered C-3PO's memory to be erased at the end of Episode III when he gives the droids to Captain Antilles.

Although R2's memory wasn't erased, he couldn't exactly talk to Luke. But, a lot of people confuse R2's characteristics with 3PO's. They see both droids as casual, innocent bystanders caught up in events all around them. Well, 3PO is, but R2 is very much aware of what's going on around him and what needs to be done.

He realizes, much as Yoda, Bail, and Obi-Wan do, that Luke and C-3PO are on a need to know basis. R2 is there to do his job and save everyone's ass in the process. He doesn't need to gossip to Luke or 3PO, mainly, because that's just not him.

Now I remember one of my other questions (after getting off the phone with a friend) ... What’s with Jabba the Hut? I noticed him listed in the credits but I never saw him in the film ... a cut scene perhaps?

Just imagine the scene when Yoda asks Obi-Wan if Anakin is dead and Obi-Wan says:
"Oh ah... Anakin, right... Yes, the mission... Uhm... I think so... Well I suppose... Well Yes... But possibly... Uhm... Ok, I'm going to say 'yes'"

              And then Yoda says: "Notttt!"

              And then Obi-Wan says: "Doh!"

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.
