Cor, blimey is Cockney for an expression of surprise. The origin is probably God, blind me. The saying "from the sublime to the ridiculous" is often corrupted to "from the sublime to the cor, blimey" in colloquial speech, to add emphasis to the ridiculous situation (such as this thread).
