Many were shot on actual 35mm film. I guess it depended upon the budget.. in the 70s, I think they started using videotape to save money.

just goes to show that canadian shows don't need a laugh track to make things funny... unlike the stuff that is coming from south of the border.

Actually, seen a few bits of that one. Quite amusing, but it wasn't the laugh track in Hogan's Heroes that made it funny. I would just find it odd watching it without as it was always there.

Then again, I've never known a show to be funny because of the laugh track. Of course I could be missing out on some new trend down here.

I've known many plebs over the years for whom the laugh track enhanced their enjoyment immeasurably.

Never underestimate the convenience of being alerted to the "funny bits" for those whose attentions are ever fleeting.
        P.S. You've been Spanked!

I don't normally enjoy laugh tracks. But maybe it's to simulate the "theater experience?" I definitely enjoy a good comedy more when there's people around me laughing with me.

But that doesn't make the show itself funny

I enjoyed it, although as you can see the face of one of the cylons, it stands to reason that some/all the others will be visible. Interesting turn with the President, but very much a setup for next week.

                cant wait!

One thing I noticed last night....If I recall right..Galatica is BSG 75, but yet the Pegasus is BSG 62, and is a more modern ship?
Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?

                    Pass. I didn't spot that.
How many cylons are there in total, and how many do we know about? I saw this listed in an earlier thread.

El Presidente was acting out of character in the last episode (although she is an obvious choice, as with any of the main characters)

Maybe they have the same numbering scheme as HP, where the higher number isn't always the newest model.

Ship number in the model class. Like the navy has dozens of aircraft carriers, but many different model classes built over the years. *shrug* my best guess.

Why couldn't they have used the invisible ship to photograph all of the cylons, would have saved them a lot of trouble rounding up the little critters.

We have a what happens next at work, I was right with Starbuck/Adama today, next week should turn back to politics/religion as it hasn't been touched on lately. Pooor old Billy he's gonna be dumped very soon.

i did more research and BSG is Battle Star Group...so I'm assuming that Pegasus is the lead ship of BSG 62, thus why the numbers are correlating...its not like the US Navy where its USS, then Ship type-Number and then they are assigned to fixed fleet numbers like the 7th Fleet and what not

                              yeah, that was my point.

In any case, wasn't it mentioned somewhere in season 1 exactly how many different cylons there are?

Don't recall any such revelation, though I think we were meant to assume there was a set number of physical appearances, but I'm betting there are several "limited editions" we have yet to encounter/reveal.
