The BBC reports that "Newspapers across Europe have reprinted caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad to show support for a Danish paper whose cartoons have sparked Muslim outrage." And have even mentioned that "France Soir, Germany's Die Welt, La Stampa in Italy and El Periodico in Spain all carried some of the drawings."
So newspapers in Italy and Spain have joined the fray.
The BBC doesn't have a problem reporting on the issue, but by not publishing the pics themselves, they've not taken a stand for free speech either.

it seems that most of the protests happen in gaza and the surrounding areas. do the Palestineans not have jobs to attend to, since they can be out protesting every day??

The PA has done virtually nothing to build the Palestinian infrastructure and they have virtually no industries to call their own. Most of their economy is based on trade with and labour for Israel. When was the last time you were in a store and saw a product labelled "made in the Palestinian Territories"? I've never seen it.
Both in Gaza and the West Bank the unemployment rate for Palestinians has skyrocketed post Oslo as corruption and mismanagement has destroyed what little self contained economy that they had.
Since the beginning of the second intifada the unemployment rate has increased even more as the Palestinian labour force working in Israel has been let go for security concerns.
My friend's uncle lives on a kibbutz in Israel and they had many Palestinian workers. They were very friendly with them and paid them well. One day, after the second intifada started, the workers came to them and told them that they had to quit because they were being told by terrorists at home that if they didn't help bring bombs into Israel in general and help attack the Kibbutz specifically they would be denounced as collaborators and that they and their familes would be killed.
The Kibbutz gave them some extra money and let them go. They've since imported Thai workers, who work for less money and cause no trouble. As much as they regret not being able to help the Palestinian economy any more, they don't think that they'll ever hire Palestinians again.

Sorry, the short answer is "no, they don't have jobs".
Kids also get let out of school so that they can participate in the demonstrations, etc.
