Saudi Arabia - Denmark, a love story?

Duh.. they are the enemy. They aren't strong enough to attack from without, so they attack from within. They are allowed to attack from within because they are allowed to be here in large numbers. When we were in Saudi Arabia in small numbers to defend them against Saddam, that was enough to incite AQ to declare war on us, but millions of them have infiltrated the West so they can take our jobs and services, only to incite hatred against us when we don't change our ways to suit them. Any government that refuses to expel them is made up of nothing but spineless girlymen, in my humble opinion.

More Muslim Death Threats
‘We will not accept less than severing the heads of those responsible,’ one preacher told worshippers at the al-Omari Mosque in the Gaza Strip as tensions spread over the publication of the cartoons, first in Denmark and later in Norway, France, Germany and Spain. ...
‘We must tell Europeans, we can live without you. But you cannot live without us,’ prominent Muslim cleric Sheikh Youssef al-Qaradawi told worshippers in Qatar. ‘We can buy from China, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia... we will not be humiliated.’
In Lebanon, thousands of Palestinian refugees marched through the streets of their camps, burning Danish and Norwegian flags and calling on Osama bin Laden, the al Qaeda leader, to avenge the Prophet Mohammad.
‘We will not be satisfied with protests. The solution is the slaughter of those who harmed Islam and the Prophet,’ said Sheikh Abu Sharif, spokesman for the militant Osbet al-Ansar group, at a rally in Lebanon’s largest camp, the southern Ein al-Hilweh.P.S. You've been Spanked!

Is it only me that finds it so ironic that these Muslims are using their political free speech to tell the rest of the world that they don't have the right to use theirs?
Who could have guessed that this issue could have been the casus belli of a major clash of civilisations?
This really feels like it could snowball into something quite significant.
I'm actually getting concerned.
It seems a given that there's going to be a major terrorist attack in Denmark now. How will the EU react? How will the World react? This could get really really ugly.P.S. You've been Spanked!

I guess Muslims have been surprised all this time that they've been using their media to blatantly vilify all other religions and have not been receiving these types of violent reactions?
Maybe they are right for the simple reason that they're the only ones who seem willing to fight for what they perceive as their dignity?P.S. You've been Spanked!

I just can't believe the cowardice of the US State Department.
In case anyone missed the link in my previous posts, here it is again:

This is a perfect example of the extreme hipocrocsy of the Islamic world. They say its against their religion to print/publish pictures or drawings of Mohammed, yet they use his pictures regularly for their purpose.
Add to that what schmosef said in the couple above posts. They don't complain when their publications blast and threaten other religions, but when anything is published or said about them, they freak out. Comes across to me as a bunch of crybabies who are looking for any excuse to kill others.

If it is WW3 (and it already is, imho.. just a hot/cold one,) at what point does terrorism within finally wake up the European governments to expel all muslims from their countries?
I saw an interesting Frontline program the other night about muslims in Europe, and how they never even thought about being radical until they moved to Europe. There, they became "frustrated young men with an identity crisis," which tells me that they were basically unable to cope with living in a society so different from their own.. they react by trying to make OUR culture more like THEIRS.. how? By threatening to blow shit up if we don't basically adopt sharia law. Why do we do nothing about this? Sorry for not being PC (that is, LYING ABOUT REALITY UNTIL WE ALL DIE BECAUSE OF IT) but it's because feminine ideals have permeated our governments. Empathy and understanding have no place when you are dealing with a direct threat to not only individual lives, but to your national soul. These are not people to be talked to or reasoned with. They are a society that hates us and wants us all dead.Last edited by KvHagedorn; 3 February 2006, 14:14.

I've not seen them using his picture so much. It's an Old Testament issue... graven images.Originally posted by rylanyet they use his pictures regularly for their purpose.
I don't actually remember reading this in the Koran (one gets numb to all the hate after a while) but somewhere recently I read that The Koran expands on this issue by saying that you're not allowed to draw pictures of anything with a soul and that there's a special place in hell for artists who do (something about the punishment increasing for each soul violated). Someone else can maybe confirm that the Koran actually says this.
I think that they're especially concerned about graven images of Mohammad because they revere him so much already it's almost idolatry is it is. Letting his image be ubiquitous would be enough to make the argument that they actually do idolize him.
Anyway, the point is that in a free secular pluralistic democracy, like Denmark, like most of the West, citizens are free not to conform to religious taboos and edicts. Those who choose to follow "the path of the prophet" are welcome to do so. Those who don't want to, don't have to and should not / can not be force to do so.
Lastly, Islamic apologists make much reference to an (arguably abrogated) tenant of the Koran that says "there should be no compulsion of religion". If Muslims today actually believe that, why are they trying to compel non-Muslims to conform to their beliefs?
Is this really just a tiny vocal minority? Where's the silent majority when they're needed?
How're we to know the difference when the silent majority doesn't do ANYTHING to differentiate itself?
Why doesn't the silent majority work within their own communities to quell this?P.S. You've been Spanked!

I completely disagree with you. From original sin on, women have received a bad rap.
Feminine ideals are completely cultural and completely based on whatever the culture puts forth.
You have to look further than just one layer. At the heart the problem is liberal intellectual guilt and moral relativism.
Liberal intellectual guilt over the "success" of our society and moral relativism making those guilt bearers unable to distinguish the superiority of our way of life over another's.
Btw, I mean "liberal" in the Poli Sci sense, not in the American Democratic Party or Canadian Liberal Party sense. Liberal intellectual guilt and moral relativism can affect anyone regardless of overt political affiliation.
edit: one more point. Dennis Prager has an excellent book called "Think a Second Time" where, among other issues, he talks a great deal about how liberal intellectualism as it deals with other cultures is a form of racism because it tollerates recognised shortcoming in other cultures on the basis that "one can't expect better from them, they're X". X being whatever culture is being apologised for. I recommend the book. It's good.P.S. You've been Spanked!

Where do liberal intellectuals come from? I was one until I was about 25 and finally figured out what was going on. Know why? I was an intellectual whore and thought this was the way to get a woman who was more interesting and intelligent because she had a career or was career bound. I even went to the local Democratic party caucus because of this. Before this, I was pulling for McGovern through the influence of my mother. It really is not a bad thing to have empathy or compassion, but it is abject ignominy to apply these things to outside groups (especially those who have no empathy or compassion for YOU) while you ignore your own. And too many Westerners have forgotten that the purpose of all life is to propagate itself, so in absence of childern of their own, they give their empathy to their enemies.
Why do I discount liberal intellectual guilt? Because in my experience (which includes discussions with the epitome of this type of person.. professors at a top U.S. University) human beings are truly motivated by the animal within. If there is intellectual guilt, it is motivated by a deeper thing in our reptilian brains, methinks.. especially if we let it rule our lives. Oh, I suppose there are those so isolated in their ivory towers that they can cut off that part of their being (thinking of these professors) but these are few. Half the population, on the other hand, is female.. and their reptilian nature is to nurture and reject violence. They may even be repulsed by the violence that protects their very person or child. No.. it is the feminization of government that allows our enemies to thrive.
