So now we know just about everywhere it couldn't be, so where is it? Well, I think you still have a choice of about 30 or 40 Asian countries, some of which are obviously not possible.

Clue: think of poverty. It is in a more-or-less democratic, medium-sized, country, ruled without any velvet gloves, and which has little in the way of exploitable natural resources.
