Okay. It's a large town in Nevada. It isn't any that have been mentioned. It's NEVADA, not New York or the Netherlands or someplace else with LOTS of large towns..

How's this.. it's on the old Southern Pacific mainline that was previously the Central Pacific.

Could be Carson City? Although the grass looks too green...

I'd been down that route. I searched them all. Discovered that using anything other than just Elko in the search terms, did not yield the pic.

The answer you seek is Elko, Nevada.

            Probably another easy one.

I've possibly heard of 20 towns in Nevada, but never Elko. For me, Elko is a German acronym for an electrolytic capacitor SF must have infinite patience and time to suss out such obscure places, which, as someone said, could be Anytown, USA (or even outside the USA).

IMHO, this kind of obscure photo will kill the game, simply because it does not give sufficient info to allow anyone to find it without wasting too much time. What do others think?

                Seems reasonable to me.

Well at least it wasn't in the middle of the ocean or some remote frozen ice field.

You got really close really quickly.. I thought it would be pretty easy once we had it narrowed down to Nevada and not Las Vegas or Reno. The railroad line should have made it EASY.

Actually, I think the hardest one we've had other than the open ocean one I posted as a joke (even I have no clue where that one was ) was the volcano in the Kuriles. That one was evil.. there was a castle somewhere in Wesfalen that no one got though.. I probably just didn't try hard enough on that one.

What railway line? I just re-looked at the photo and cannot see anything that tells me there is one there????????

OK, It isn't polluted enough for Cairo, New Delhi, Mexico City or Bangkok. Would it happen to be somewhere about 42° N and in the USA?

It is a railway station. It's not China or the USA & it's south of 42° N.
