(Someone mentioned Blue Max on this thread, so I'll get another correction if that isn't the one I'm thinking of.)
Yeah, the vector one is Red Baron.
Blue Max was from a Zaxxon type perspective.

That looks like it. Thanks. I haven't seen any of them around in so long I was unsure of the names (except for rogue).

            DR DOS...
(had much better memory management than MS DOS, it even allowed for taskswitching )

In the gaming realm, I forgot another one:

Ah I got why you were posting it, I was just making a little fun at the experience of using and supporting it after IBM dumped it.

Oh, non games...uhm, WP51. Still favor it over the latest version of word.

Thenn there was Videoscape and Videoscape 2.0 (Amiga) and that raytracing progrma, uhm, something 4D that I never really got to grips with.

Raytracing on the Amiga? Sounds like Reflection. Came with a book, still have it at home

Reflection it was not I think. This one actually did animation as well.

It's been ages, but as far as I can remember in Raflection you could have polygons with more than three corners (as in Videoscape), but the other program only accepted triangles.

It had "4D" in the name: 3D and animation making the forth D (as in time).
