- I bought and received the card last Thursday. And even having a Radeon 8500 128 in my system prior for 2 weeks (was building a computer for a friend, just wanted to try the card). I'm extremely happy with it in all respects. Sure the card doesn’t match the performance in raw settings. But who buys a newer card to NOT play with all settings pumped? The game performance is astounding. And absolutely beautiful looking. With 16xFAA. Playing in Triple Head is weird at first. But easily adjustable to. The 2D Quality sure does live up to its fanfare. The True Dual Head and Triple Head are works of art no matter how useless people say they are. Working in Photoshop and Maya in both Dual Head and Triple Head definitely increased my productivity. After Using Dual/Triple Head, I can honestly say goodbye to single monitor setups
.
Gaming with the card feels smoother with 16xFAA then the Radeon 8500 I had before, and with a lot less troublesome conflicts. Even with the 1-year-old card. I’m still amazed they have the problems they do. I had constant trouble with constant changing resolutions with gaming; the screen would just remain Black. And I would have to reset my comp to recover. The Dual Head on the Radeon 8500 was useless (IMO) the secondary display was always in a lower colour depth, and only had software overlay on the second monitor. I know the card is older, but with the rumors and pictures of the RV300. ATI still doesn’t offer True Dual Head with their next offering.
So… Yes I’m quite pleased with the Parhelia. And have not looked back since buying the card. -- ? -

My option isn't there ... waiting for some fixes and hopefully some specific enhancements as well as waiting to see the details on the other P variants.<TABLE BGCOLOR=Red><TR><TD><Font-weight="+1"><font COLOR=Black>The world just changed, Sep. 11, 2001</font></Font-weight></TR></TD></TABLE>

Same as xortam, I'm waiting for improvements, bug fixes. And I'm also waiting for money, 500€ for a GC is VERY expensive, moreover from what I've seen it is a good card but not really worth it's price... Come one guys you still can do it !!!System : ASUS A8N SLI premium, Athlon 64X2 3800+, 2Gb, T7K500 320Gb SATAII, T7K250 250Gb SATAII, T7K250 250Gb ATA133, Nec ND-3520, Plextor PX130A, SB Audigy 2, Sapphire Radeon X800 GTO, 24" Dell 2407WFP.

E) I don't have the money (and don't think P128 is worth that much, to be honestly), and am waiting on the 64 MB version to see if it is priced more adequately (and hope I have enough money by then)

yeah, Sales Soup, what gives with the retail price over here, pc stores are charging just 60,000 yen or so, which comes in at $500USD.
Price over here needs to become realistic, I was out shopping on the weekend (picked up a refeb g400 for a mate) and every one was saying they wanted one but it was too expensive.
Get the price down and you got my sale and quite a few others

Where's the <I>I would if it had drivers</I> option? All of the Win9x/NT4/Linux users you guys are leaving out in the cold. For $400-$500 it aught to have drivers for when I plug it in to the toaster oven.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Why complaints about price? Well:
1) Nvidia has drivers (N.B. this wasn't true the last time Matrox introduced a card). Drivers for all sorts of stuff.
2) If you don't want to shell out for the 4600, you can get much more bang for the buck from a 4400, or even 4200.Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Why is it called tourist season, if we can't shoot at them?
