Matrox no longer cares about performance or what other companies are releasing for the gaming demographics. Their focus has fully shifted to workstation/office/MMS stuff, where they have less competition. There will be no new chip until Longhorn (and even then, it will only support what Longhorn requires). Any new card till then will be based on current Sundog/Parhelia varients, none of which will be geared for performance, and none of which will be DX9 based.
