No Dx9 features, im using DVI so i cant see any banding, will check it later against the analogue signal, also will play some games with faa on to see if it has been improved at all. Here are the aquamark benchies at standard clocks:

Ehhh. PPL!!!! It's the same card as Parhelia AGPx4. It's only little overclocked & with bugfixes of the core. It was maked the same time as AGPx4 version. So don't expect anythign new. It will be just little faster without core bugs that got AGPx4 version. Nothing more!

yep nicram is right about that, looks like the banding has gone and faa is looking better, will post screenies later. If it werent for the fact that i "aquired" a P256 for a P128 bulk price and was able to sell it at the same cost as this new 128, i would not have upgraded, it probably worth about £50 above the old card if you can sell your old one on ebay or something, and its worth it if your looking for a brand new parhelia. But not to upgrade and throw the old P out. heres aquamark, 250/300, with Faa forced.

What about benching with a unreal 2 and a Q3 engine based game (ut for example)? Would be quite interesting!

Actually Nicam this card is not OC'd. The original core was suppose to hit 300mHz. So it can be said this one is spot on with what they originally designed it todo (in all aspects) and the others were underclocked/buggy.

If he knew so much then he'd also know what this card was taped out at and the projected running speed was.

I do dislike putting the smack down on him, but he played alot of people. Much like Jorden did and leaked alot of info while playing Matrox for fools so he could gain viewership on his site.

If you have Enemy Territory (it's free download) installed, could you please check how FAA works on Railgun map and/or post a screenshot of it?

2 years too late. For the cost and by the time it is available, you would be better off buying an ATI or NVidia. Not only are their architectures light years ahead of Matrox's, so are their drivers.

                            not worth the money.

Yeah if this had been launch, may have been a different story. They may have been doing well enough to consider a refresh speed bump.

I hope they throw another attempt at the gaming market though.

While quite an improvement over the original P, the original P really had to be the P8X for true success.

Now, they will never really take the commercial market, and I doubt I'll be buying Matrox again....unless I see proper AMD64 support for both Linux and Windows, as well as DX9 hardware.

I'm very much leaning towards NVidia for my next card...
