I am formally complaining about Joel for deleting my message on the Soapbox forum about "Topic: And another War .... ".

My username is Bongo.

I did not attack anyone personally; I responded to a question posted by fellow Murcer paulcs; also and I was critical of the US.


I do not believe I crossed the line; but I have had philisophical disagreements with "joel" in the past. That may have added to his decision to remove the message.

I believe his action was unfair in light of the open forum nature of the soapbox; and especially since I made only general statements...no murcer was named.

And the reference to the past president as being a "sex-addict and rapist"...that has been reported widely in the general media for the past two years. Civil suits brought by women charging him with forcing them to have sex..etc. Just type in those search parameters on any search engine and you will get about 5000 hits.

Besides, Joel arbritarily removing my message reinforces the general criticisms I levied in my post.

Can you please look into this matter.

OK folks I haven't been following this thread until just now, if this discussion is causing friction and people to fall out then I take the decison to close it as that sort of thing is not in the spirit of the MURC.

Look, Paul. Do you know how many Serbs are left in Kosovo? Can you give an estimate? I dont know the precise number, but i can tell there are at least 10 times less than they were 2 years ago.

I may have used a too strong term to describe the situation there mow. But Serbs there are getting killed on a daily basis. 50% of the Serbs left Kosovo fearing what Albanians could do to them. If "Ethnic Cleansing" is associated only to killing and relocating people granted from, or by direct order from the Government, then i appologise for using that term. But i would like to know what term would you use for what Albanians are doing to the Serbs now in Kosovo. Be that remnants of former KLA, now Kosovo Defense Corps, armed civilians or Criminals. Is it genocide? Is it Criminal activity? Is it Terrorist activity? What i see is happening there, is the Kosovars trying to create an ethincally clean territory. Done either with killing Serbs, or Serbs leaving Kosovo on their own fearing they might/will be killed if they decide to stay.

Ethnic Cleansing? Perhaps not.

The Balkan has always been a powderkeg, ready to blow. Always. And it will probably stay that for years to come. One thing. Orthodox, Catholics and Muslims living right next to each other. Look at Norhtern Ireland and the fights between Catholics and Protestants. And they are both Christians. The Balkans had what, 3 wars, plus 2 WW 1&2. Most of them to gain territory, but Religioun played a vital role in them too. We have a history of beeing prone to wage Wars. ALL of us. Bulgarians, Serbs, Croats, Albanians, Greek, Macedonians.

Another question of NATO`s purpose after the breakup of USSR. NATO`s main purpose is to defend itself and it`s members. Against what now? The USSR/Warzsaw Pact is no more, no real threat to NATO exists anymore. Except China PR

As opposed to the UN, if NATO is to intervene in Crisis situations, where the two or more opposing sides have no intentions of dropping the weapons, then NATO would be caught in a cross-fire. UNLESS it made one side the enemy. And then pound on this week`s "Enemy". In Kosovo, the Serbs. Here in Macedonia, noone? It sure as hell isnt us. So it must be the Albanian Terrorists. Action?

"The Terrorist have threatened blah blah blah, they should be Politically isolated blah blah blah, we support Macedonia and its blah blah blah".

For God`s sake, do your job in Kosovo. I wouldnt want NATO/KFOR troops in Macedonia. I feel we dont need them here. We need them doing their job in Kosovo. The Germans stationed in Tetovo might as well leave Macedonia. They are of no real use to us.

As for being too decisive in Kosovo. Am i to believe that NATO killed Serbs in order to prevent a greater evil? That would mean that we are now being sacrificed to save the Albanians in Kosovo. I know what you`re gonna say, it is of utmost interest to the US to prevent destabilization of Macedonia. I would like to think so. But the question is, how far is NATO/US prepared to go to ensure Macedonia`s stability? I for one, havent seen anything decisive/strong done by NATO/US to make me believe that. All i`ve heard are reassuring speaches and formal statements. Is NATO prepared to attack its allies in Kosovo ( the former KLA ) to protect Macedonia? KFOR has enough troops on Kosovo to secure our border on that side. Manpower isn`t the problem. You know what the problem is? Yesterday, the American KFOR Troops revealed that they werent patrolling the Border by night, because they feared for their own safety?!?! Are these men soldiers? That is simply unacceptable. If you are scared to do your job, leave and let the Serbs enter Kosovo. They will do their job, i`m sure. If you are scared that there might be another genocide if they enter Kosovo, leave a permanent UN observing force in Kosovo.

Fact is, KFOR is uncapable of doing it`s job.
