Don't let him know that you know anything. There's probably some stuff floating around the web still to be found, but he'll really clean things up if he hears "FBI". Not only that, but if they actually go after him, they'll get his computer. You don't want him deleting that.

Liz, I would give this guy the absolute minimum to keep him on the hook until the Feds or somebody breaks his door down. Each time he demands those pics is another blackmail. And what he is doing on the other side is at least sexual harrassment. Hacking your computer is a form of breaking and entering. This is serious crime, not simple annoyance, though you never know how officialdom will view it.

If this guy were to do all of this physically on the street, at your home, you would have absolutely no hesitation to go to the cops. Prosecution is also your protection, and by prosecuting you are protecting a lot of other women who have been through, or are going through, the same thing as you. There is even the possibility that guy, or another, shows up on your doorstep, it happens all the time. You do need to take action, but stay cool.

The accent is on blackmail, sexual harrassment, breaking and entering. Prepare your evidence carefully and lay it out with these accents. The police need what is called "probable cause" to go after him, and you need to clearly outline and present it in those terms.

The police may want your computer too, or at least a look in it. Don't be shy, they've already seen everything you can imagine. I was deputy sheriff as a community service in the US northwest for five years, and between the training and the experiences you can laugh and then cry over all that goes on. Incredible...

This guy probably picked up on you through some indescretion in a chat, unlikely through MURC. If he's still harrassing you, it's unlikely he's been here.
