All that is different across the globe is varying degrees of a lack of freedom of speech.

Here in the UK, the state actually pays a bunch of people to do that. It's called the Opposition. Shame they're so crap at itDM says: Crunch with Matrox Users@ClimatePrediction.net

It would be up to everyone else to decide whether to listen or not. And I mean the anything without exception - ie you are still allowed to say "i think that you should go and shoot the president". Only when someone actually tries to shoot the president can you make arrests. Otherwise it's just not *true* freedom of speech, which I think is still only a theoretical concept - it doesn't (yet?) exist anywhere in the world.

But of course you can be arrested if you threaten people, or threaten to blow up things.. (as it should be..) But a threat is different from uttering an opinion.
Amd also that article about the imprisoned americans, strange though that the american government hasn't extraditet the people, so that they can serve in American prisons.

James.
In Norway a woman was fined and maybe even sent to jail because she decided to give her son a name which wasn't in the allowed names list
She wanted to call him "Gesher". Now in Norway you can't call your children any way you'd like. There's a list of names which you're allowed to use and that's it.

hehehe That's the worst bullshit I've heard for a long time.
Pretty good bullshit though, of course she didn't get imprissoned for that, you can call your kid anything, exept certain Nazi names.
The reason for that, is that we have a large muslim population, that don't use norweagen names, but use muslim/traditional names from their former countries..
So ... I don't think that your Info is accurate..

This means names like ****ole, kick-me, dumbass etc.
It also includes names like Stalin and Adolf because those would most certainly cause your kid to be beaten up @ school.
It's a quite lengthly defined law which I'm not too familiar with.
You can use strange / crazy names as long as they're not to obviously calling for abusing your child.
