About the Indians, well they already contributed quite a lot to our world by inventing / discovering the "0" among other things.
Indians, Koreans and others are currently rushing ahead to be at the front lines of technology. China on the other hand is problematic with all their blocking of information among other things. The Arab countries ? I don't see it happening anytime soon. Turkey is a good possibility and Lebanon would have been a great candidate if not for all the turmoil there. I've never seen any Arab technology being exported. Have you ?

Neither. Jews were very eager to "prove themselves". To show how well they are integrated and how much they contribute to their country. The Spanish Inquisition and the holocaust show that they somewhat failed.
Why the list and the figures ? To make you go forth and look about your own nation, to see who you can 'steal' from this list and say "he's mine too" like Albert Einstein being German and later American. How many times did a war end with 1 side winning physically but losing culturally ?
All this politicly correctness and globality makes people lose their precious culture for empty statements about us all being human and other kinds of shit. If you lose your culture, you'll later lose your individuality. Think about it.

We have our numbers from the Arabs, no? I'm sure we learned some things from them during the crusades, and I think some touristic sight in Spain were built by the Moors between 900 and 1400 . Frankly, I know too little about htis and do not have the time to investigate. I feel that the Arab and most of the Muslim community is held back by their governements more than by any religious / cultural fact (even though they all interact). Agree with your statement on Turkey and Lebanon. Moreover, a Palestinian state would, IMO, further the Arab development because a lot of Palestinians have been over the world and seen a lot of countries, cultures and political systems, which can not be said I think for other Arabs 9at least not to that extent).

It wasn't a brag list. I posted it to make you look deeper into your own culture. Call it a "cultural achievement contest". Then see what you're trading when you let other cultures come in and take over yours.

I am proud of my culture, heritage and people (except for Goldstein and his kind, I wonder why they were accepted in the first place . Oh well, no culture's perfect).
