I turned it to single buffering and the flickering went away. I think the 'white paint' is the sky during the helicopter benchmark, as the text doesn't show up to tell me what benchmark it is.

The DX7 drivers for win2k apparently don't support alpha blending.

Interesting. 3DMark2000 crashed the hell out of my rig due to my P3 (450@558) L2 latency setting of 4. Works fine at default latency setting though. Never had problems with that before.

Scores at 1024/16/16Z/DB were 2680/158. MAX was at 160/213. Nothing new there I guess.

I got the same white top of the screen, but it went away when I installed RC3 last night, oh I have WinDVD running on Win2000, but the picture quality is a little worse than that of 98's, anyone else found another way of running the SoftDVD? Q3Arena is a little jerky, the mouse seems to act weird and eratic, like someone is using NetBus on me, does this sound familiar to anyone else.

Hey Jorden, I thought you used to overclock your P3 to 500ish or something...??? Bad vibes or is it just my bad memory?

This will insure new 3DMARK 2000 optimized Drivers from all the major video card manufacturers. Watch what I say....
I like the quotes "the Max Drver can't handle the helicopter scene, And this matters to who???

I want my graghics cards to run real honest to god apps. not some MAD ASS ONION BENCH !!

I hope they do optimize for this one, if they can get it faster the more power to them, especially since most of it is cpu bound.

Another AMD result: K6-3 450@504, Epox MVP3G-M, Mill G200 SD @240MHz. 1024x768x16, VSync off, Triple Buffering on
                      3DMarks - 1322 CPUMarks - 101

Can't wait 'til spring, when I should be able to upgrade again. Of course, I'll be buying then what is current tech now, but hey, can't have it all...

edit: Opps, forgot to include the display settings...

                        Yo Scytale :]

Do you think I would be better off using the Mga Tweak for o\c,Or have I just about hit the top with my Max O\c at 216 X 162.

I tried using the next notch up from 216 but I get THE ARTIFACTS FROM HELL :[ :P

Also can you change the core and memory speeds independantly of one another using Mga Tweak???????? Whadaya Tink :P

BTW Good work with the Reg hack for Q3 I just wish I could get an improvement using Turbo GL,I find that the default driver runs much faster "But not fast enough"

                        Any ideas Regards Matt {:O)

                          Anid,

Just tried it with the G400 at 118% using the Matrox overclocker, 1596 at 1024x768x16, using DX7 software T&L, using 3D-Now! setting I get 1496, isn't that embarassing for the mad onions! Unlike 3DMark99Max, this one seems to like more fillrate, so I guess it's not all about the G256.

Since I am only at 448MHz with my K6-3, I think you can get a bit better results.

                            Scytale,

I tried OC'ing my P3 to 500 and above, until one of my onCPU Dual Fans broke and I had to go back to 450. I'm still waiting for a day off to change that broken fan into my new Tennmax DF ...

Btw, the built I have should be able to go to 650... Maybe when we're moving to our (Holly & mine) new apartement and I have to take the PC down anyway, will I remove this fan and install the new one

                            Jorden.

Yo mathew :] You could try different divider settings with MGATweak, shifting the core/memory ratio, but many people get best results using the default dividers. You're doing great just now, but... try it!

Jorden - So you two lovebirds are cageing up together. Hee hee, I guess I should visit the Soap Box more often.

Damn, I wiped this thread off topic. Sorry guys

Never mind, I might have pushed him off, guys, so it's my responsibility to put Scy back on topic... Where are your OC'ed G400 3DMarks, Scy??
