        oooh look, my card doesn't do Environmental Bumpmapping! could that be because it's biased towards Matrox? oh no! this test is so unfair!

        ----- PIII Enhanced Mode -----
        1024x768x16bitx16bitZ = 3452 3D Marks

        Argue with that.

            hmmm, I just noticed I'm only getting 100 points less on the high polygon count with 8 lights on my $160 "vanilla" g400 than the geforced that costs how much?

              And for us idiots who don't really understand/want to read (too much) what all these nembers mean? Kind of sad for a science student, eh...

              someone going to give a simple answer?
              "The most beautiful thing we can experience is the mysterious. It is the source of all true art and all science. He to whom this emotion is a stranger, who can no longer pause to wonder and stand rapt in awe, is as good as dead: His eyes are closed"
              --- Albert Einstein

                  But it doesn't hurt to have it... Hardware T&L that is. I'm spewing that the card I bought didn't come with that Zoo demo doohickey, that thing looks really sweet.

                    Jorden,

                    How about a pic of the helicopter fly by using the 5.307 drivers, hmm? I mean I've seen you post the same pic for the pool scene 3 times already, so I don't think there is a need for me to post a clone of it.
                    If you are not using the latest drivers your results are screwed up and you are in danger of inducing an epileptic fit in anyone watching it, how hard is that for people to understand?

                    • You know, for a group that pooh poohs all benchmarking with their noses up in the air, there sure seems to be a lot of concern about it.

                      • Sorry to say this, Himself, but I'm running the 5.41.008 drivers... So don't flatter yourself
