Doesn't it have something to do with these cards being put together with Nuclear Fusion? Could be wrong though I guess. Me thinks the hope is the ability to deal with unreal heat. Again, I could be wrong here.

        Take care

There were rumours a while ago, which stated the G800 could be used in a multi-chip setup, There even was a picture of it, descibing how two G800 could work together.

Face it, using more chips is a relative easy way to double the performance.

Since the G450 is pin-compatible, there might be a G450 which supports multi-proc as well.

Would be nice if they produce a card where costumers can plug-on the extra chip when needed (using sockets )

Or a bare board, without graphic procs, but with 2 sockets so you can choose which setup you want: 1 or 2 G450 or 1 or 2 G800

Actually, the 'Fusion' part has reference to the kind of power supply you'll need to run these things....

All I can really say at this time is that this will be something that will blow most of you and the competition away.

6 matrix vertex skinning? "MTC" 16:1 texture compression? Programmable TnL? 8x FSAA? BodyMAP(heh)?

I just hope it's used more than bumpmapping. I killed expendable before I made it to the water, so the only time I saw it was in the tech demo. I would've seen it in Dungeon Keeper 2 if they'd got it working within 6 months of its release..

it also could have something to do with the story about the G500 and bump mapping.

ok, so most of you people think the Fusion is a dual gpu based card. Then where are the marvel typeof cards in the drivers?

believe me if I tell you that these marvel solutions of the next generation cards _DO_ exist
