        • I wonder if Matrox do go the 2D/3D Pro route if they'll make a comeback on the Mac scene. If they did there would be no stopping me getting a Mac I'm already highly tempted but the thought of having a nVidia or ATi card is not very appetising

          • Yahoo, if Matrox would make a comeback to the MAC platform this would make me really happy .

mabraham ... I don't quite remember that being posted on the MURC. Can you provide a link or reference to that post? A search didn't uncover it.

                • Ah ... thanks Ant. I didn't think to look in the news archives. Some of that sounded familiar (like "We will be kings of 3D again") but I didn't recall them supposedly confirming there was a dual-chip technology.

You know, normally I wouldn't believe a post like that but based on the fact that the same guy downplayed the whole thing earlier in the thread and kind of stuck up for MWNH and then posts that little tidbit. I hope he's right

                          • As much as I would like to have that 256MB version, my tight budget as well as my soul, I think will only be enough for the 128MB one.

                              Err, how 'bout 1024MB?
Half of that gigabyte could serve as the main memory (through 16x AGP).

'All your memory on a single card!' Neat and tidy.

                              • Matrox should better get that Parhelia out soon because 3DLabs (now owned by Creative Labs) has announced a new card. Two versions are planned, one for the mass market and the other one for the pro market. It is supposed to have a brand new architecture and be faster than anything we know with 76M transistors. The card is due for Xmas...

Come one Matrox, don't be late. June is fine but not later !

I guess we'll see some competition here
