            • Well.... This card is going to be really interesting once I see the reviews... Dose anybody know if the 8500 had overlay in the second monitor in the hardware or was it just software?

              • No hardware overlay on second monitor for 8500. Currently running the 8500 128mb and the interference on the second display is horrendous....

                • AFAIK, Parhelia is the first consumer level card to offer hardware overlay on more than one display.
                  Core2 Duo E7500 2.93, Asus P5Q Pro Turbo, 4gig 1066 DDR2, 1gig Asus ENGTS250, SB X-Fi Gamer ,WD Caviar Black 1tb, Plextor PX-880SA, Dual Samsung 2494s

                  • Consumer, yes...I believe that's true.

However; the Planar/Dome Imaging Systems M2 and M4 medical display devices offers dual independent overlays, but as noted it's not a consumer device.

                        • OK, so Kursin=Kruzin. I was talking about all the BBs...well actually I was talking about corporations needs to create hype.

Ofcourse the people behind MURC are doing great job. Ofcourse I respect the things they do for us, the Matrox users.

I just don't understand why there is no room for criticism in anything that includes business in a way or another.

You honestly don't think that Matrox (like everyone else) very carefully calculates when to give the cards to beta-testing, when to allow the beta-testers to talk about them and what is allowed to talk about them.

And I really was surprised that you guys start jumping to walls when someone says something you disagree with. What was the line that really was too much to handle? I'd understand your behaviour better if my message would have included something very offensive stuff. I think it was quite peaceful and calm text.

Or is it really the number below my nickname? You gotta post hundreds of "yes I agree smiley smiley smiley" posts before you can start really give your own opinions?!? Errr...ain't that a little......let's say ridiculous?

Well I really should forget the "P" and everything related to computers and go fishing or something for a week or so. After that I guess there will be some actual test results available. And yes, I know that you can't measure the most important thing that Matrox has to offer, the awesome picture quality, in any other way than with your own eyes.

                          • We Super MURCers should ignore the common MURCers most of the time, never mind the mini's! And I'm off to Site Feedback to see if I can stop mini's posts from even being displayed on my screen - my Matrox does not deserve to render those pixels

                                - does two count for anything?

It's funny you should post that as I posted my first post there too. You realise its not the number of posts, but the number of quality posts these guys have made. There's a reason why this forum has lasted up till the release of the Parhelia. These guys.

Starting with Ant we've got rid of troublesome people who came to cause bother. His ruthless administrating has rid us of them Many trolls come in a post half a dozen times in one thread attacking a BB or other respected member, and then we never see them again.

Who we do see again is people like Kruzin, who share their expertise. We see people like me again, who want to learn from their expertise. And we see people like (insert nick here) who go, blah blah blah, pile of pish Kerzhin!

Accept that no company wants to show the bad side...but go back and read threads - MURCers are *very* critical of when Matrox go wrong, but we appreciate when they come back with such quality that is Parhelia. BBz love it. I sure think I will when I get one (if ).
