(You can't just walk in and flame away... you have to slowly add more gas to the already burning fires...)

Careful with that pie, you don't want to eat it (yet)... US may have bombed every single village in Afghanistan, deployed their bodybags, err.... foot troops and claimed the whole country, but they still haven't captured Bin Laden. In fact, they have no idea whether he is alive or not and his position is a mystery.

But they have succeeded in their effort to unite all the "neutral" islamic nations against the western world.
Someday, we'll look back on this, laugh nervously and change the subject.

Spending 2 Euro on a used Asbestos suit... XL: good fit

I'll need it after people listened to this song accompanied by these lyrics

Btw, the song is 9.3Mb (192bits mp3), the lyrics is 3.1k
It's a song from 1992, does nothing bad to you, but just listen to it, and wonder

Thanks Pauly for this suit... Does it come with a fireproof helmet though?

I have something you can eat

Who cares if Bin Laden is dead, MIA, or on the run? If he is never heard from again, then who gives a rat's ass? I don't. It was the terrorist network that I was concerned with. Would it be icing if we got him? Hell yeah.

Anyway, I was referring to the argument that Red Red made saying there would be no way to win the Afghan battle without a ground assault. We won the battle, we overthrew the retards who were in, they all ran....so much for death before retreat. Anyhow, anyone with half a brain can see the crow pie should be served , so I can see why you don't understand.

As to your remarks about me, you don't know me or my opinions on most things, you have no clue what I believe. If you had taken the time to discuss, you would learn more, but you would rather be a troll.

Sorry the brides bit should have read bride's - I teach conversational English, not reading and writing

Actually here is safer in general then Australia, much lower crime rate. Yes in a normal school my children may face racisim, depending on their characteristics and that of the other children. However due to the large amount of 'Gaijin' here there are many good International Schools - Unlike my home state which doesn't really have much to support Japanese students - have to live near Sydney/Melbourne/Brisbane for that. Hardest thing a child faces at school here (apart from the actual teaching style which I could write a 10 essay on) is learning Kanji. Unless there submersed in it they will probably never be able to learn enough to survive here later if they choose to live in Japan.

Also being a native Japanese and a fluent English speaker opens more doors in Japan then most parts of Australia

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.

The sound of this thread being peed on from a great height (30, 000 feet, laser guided special tail fin added with GSM/sattelite guidence)

Actually it IS quite important that his head is put on a pole. The US GOVT has invested a LOT of brownies on the INDIVIDUAL, not just the organisation.
The survival of BinLaden WILL be an insult to the US and WILL create the equivelent of a Robin Hood figure in the middle east. As was pointed out by the BBC on News 24 today, the US media has only shown small clips or stills from the latest video (*unlike previous videos). There has been no rebuttal this time from the White House, other than saying it was 'propaganda' (though no more than the last 'CIA' one ). As reported by the BBC, it was almost as if the US hoped that BinLaden would 'disapear'(as you comments have done). He wont dissapear, until he is dead. He can rebuild his network, make it more of a true terrorist network (in afghanistan, it was as much of an army as a training organisation). Remember, this man believes that he is 'dead man walking' already (as discussed in an earlier post). There is probably NOTHING that the US (as a govenment) can do that will stop his war, short of killing him or having him kiled.

In earlier posts (Joels Questions on Islam, specifically) you DID emphisise the importance of destroying the man. DONT go back on it NOW!!!! This has NOT YET been done. Whoohoo, looks like the crow pie is flying tonight!!!!!

Well may yet see if the US has the stomach to strike inside Pakistan. You said I was MAD before. You said I was a MORON before. Lets wait. Lets see. He is probably there now. If the Pakistan Govt does not hand him over instantly, or doesnt go after him agressively what will happen? (They have other things on their mind, they are on the brink of NUCLEAR WAR with India at the moment - Kashmir has flaired again - BIG TIME)

WELL NOW...... Your honourable PRESIDENT said that the WAR was on TERRORISM, and those that supported it. This was a skirmish compared to what could lie ahead. The war was against AlQuadea, and Osama Bin Laden, NOT against the Talibhan (Oh, we are here again!) The US went through the Afghan Govt at the time because they wouldnt had over Bin Laden. G. Bush Jnr said that the war wasn't against the Talibhan. Had the Talibhan handed over Osama, then they wouldnt have been attacked, according to Beorge Bush Jnr... you agreed to that in that in earlier posts. Pass you PIE

In order for him to remain at large, he will have to remain silent both publically and militarily (active aggression). I was saying if we don't find his body or never hear from him again, then it's the same thing as having him dead. If we hear from his ass again, we will get him.

As reported by the BBC, it was almost as if the US hoped that BinLaden would 'disapear'(as you comments have done). He wont dissapear, until he is dead. Like I clarified above, if we hear nothing from him ever again, then we did our job. If we hear from him again then obviously we have to do something about it.

The crow pie sits with you. The military of the Taliban was your man, they lost. End of story. We ran over them like they were hardly there. I did state that we need to stop the guy, no doubt. I never said anything to the contrary, now go back and finish your crow and quit trying to make someone else stomach it.

Believe me, if it's necessary to go into Pakistan, we will. It doesn't look like we will have to, they have been pretty cooperative thus far, but time will tell...if he is even there.

There are about 1945 Monbusho (read education dept.) Kanji for required for learning (the number in China is far greater and scholars have counted something like 50,000 different Kanji)
You need about 1200 to be able to read a Japanese newspaper.

If a child was trying to learn them outside of school set homework/time the poor kid would have no life

Oh yeah, the US is just an awful bunch of bullies because some greenhorned arch-liberal reporters in Europe use their well-honed kneejerk reactions and say that we are. Then a lot of people over there repeat this shite as if the whole continent were an echo chamber.

I don't believe that's entirely true. The European media has been very fair overall to the US in the last few months....a big swing from 8 months ago, but it doesn't reverse what was being said for the years.

I believe that most Europeans are like most Americans. We work very hard to make ends meet, are honest, and want our families to be safe. The reason I am so intent on this discussion is because many Europeans see us as people who don't care. We are labeled as lazy, stupid, and blind sheep. If they would take the time to know us, they would see we are a lot alike and have many of the same goals in life. I know that most of us hate to see people get killed, and that's where many Europeans have a problem with us. They think because we support defending our country and it's well being (self serving? You bet!), that we are blood thirsty cavemen, which we aren't. If the damned killing would stop and the ignorant people in this world would take two minutes to stop and think, then play nice, we wouldn't have problems. It all goes back to kindergarten times, learn to share, to empathize, to accept others who are different, and learn to play nice. But it just isn't happening, especially in the mideast.

                              • I'm not sure how this is going to be taken but here goes *Sigh* .

Personally; for all the heat generated on these forums I have at least come away from this with a much better understanding of the US. I spent many years on the newsgroups listening to people on both sides of the pond and have learnt many things about the differences. Some were good, some were bad. I have also tried to explain this but I did it badly

I wont comment on the blindness of Europeans to the US except to say that some British love to bait the Americans (never been one of my past-times). However as far as I can tell this doesnt generally happen on MURC. In the process I have also had to listen to many Americans use their own status in the world to belittle other cultures. Believe me it does happen and it annoys the hell out of me. For those of you who think that arrogance is a one way thing, you are sadly mistaken.
