      • Храм Пресвятой Троицы («Кулич и Пасха») в С.-Петербурге

Roughly translated as Holy Trinity Presbytery, St Petersburg, the bit in brackets defeating me, although it has something to do with Easter. My last Russian lesson was about 60 years ago (yes, I did a couple of years in school, in my early teens. My teacher was one of the Semeneoffs).

Do I get my extra brownie points?

        • OK, this is close to a large city somewhere in this world, name the city, the large building and the purpose it serves.

              • Largish kind of sea, attached to an ocean through a strait.

                          • Commune or metro area?? Can't find a commune with that many inhabitants.

Anyway,..I'd have said south of France or north Italy or Greece (less likely).

If the City of London has about 1,000 inhabitants, it seems reasonable to assume a metropolitan area, but I have no clue how the figure is derived.

                              Not France, Italy or Greece
